Upload `remove-version-info.php` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory. 2. Activate the plugin through the ‚Plugins‘ menu in WordPress. 3. Go to your homepage, CTRL+U to view the source, and confirm that the WordPress version number has been removed from: 4. * Meta generator tag. * Query strings in CSS and JS files. 5.
